Finally my blog is set up.

Hello all,
sorry it took so long for me to get this blog set up. The first few weeks were hectic; finding my apartment, trying to get my lost luggage, trying to learn the streets of the city, trying to find temporary clothes, trying to get my classes together, trying to find places to eat, etc. Right now things are going pretty well but I have to admit that having classes in italian isn't easy. Eventhough I've been here 2 months I still have a hard time understanding what my teachers say. Sitting in a room for 2 hours listening to italian makes the brain tired and after my lessons my brain just wants to sleep.

I've meet a lot of people since I've been here; people from: Germany, Ireland, Great Britain, Whales, Poland, Portugal, Angola, Chad, Cameroon, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Mozambique, Australia, Ethiopia, Turkey, Moldovia, Uruguay, Argentina, China, Spain, France, Czech. Republic, Slovakia, Belgium, Finland, Brasil, Eritrea and a lot of other countries that I can't even remember right now. Its interesting meetin all these people and learning about diff cultures.

The weather was nice when I first arrived here; hot, but not humid like KC. Right now its cold and I'm sure it'll get colder. People tell me that its going to start snowin soon and I can just imagine how thats going to be because Trento is at the base of the alps.

for those who don't know where trento is, here is a link. http://www.pickatrail.com/jupiter/location/europe/italy/map/trento.gif

People also tell me that the italians here are different than the stereotypical italians. Originally this providence (trentino-adige) wasn't part of Italy. Originally a part of Austria but was a "present" from Hitler to Mussolini. So I can see what people mean when they say that "this city is more german than italian".

Anyway things are going pretty well right now. Hopefully I'll pass all my tests. God Bless.
